July 9, 2011 saw the debut of the Farmer's Market located at the intersection of Route 360 and Main Street. The final market was held and promoted as a "Holiday Market" on November 12, 2011. Roughly, 30 vendors participated in this market held on the second Saturday of each month. A large range of items were offered including farm-fresh vegetables and fruit, craft items, clothing and of course food. We had food ranging from hot dogs to kettle corn to all types of baked goods. The volunteers did an outstanding job every month working hard from 8 a.m. to after 1 p.m. The community really got behind us and supported the market.
Warsaw and Tappahannock Main Street Programs are having a significant affect on not only the towns but regionally as well. The encouragement and support we have received from Tappahannock has helped to accelerate our program. This cooperation between the programs has helped to make our towns a community. A big Thank You to Tappahannock Farmer's Market volunteers. The Tappahannock Farmer's Market is held on the 3rd Saturday of the month, while the Warsaw Farmer's Market is held on the 2nd Saturday of each month. We encourage you to visit and support both markets to enhance our area and draw in more business.
